Raymond T. `Skip` Adams, Jr.

Raymond T. "Skip" Adams, Jr., passed away April 13, 2024. "Skip was his name, fun was his game." Much loved husband for 55 years of Mary Pat "Honey", nee Hawley;  proud father of Ray, aka "Sparky" (Jackie) and Mike (Jenny). Best story teller Grandpa Skip to Conall and Sean. Most fun loving Paw Paw to Ben, Teddy and Libby, all of whom were his "favorites." Big brother to Sandra (Vince) Clarke and Gerry (Vicki) Adams. Retired from the Chicago Police Department after 33 years. He was the police when it was the real police. He loved Squirrel Lake in Minocqua, Wisconsin and Casa Mar in Siesta Key, Florida. Visitation Wednesday, April 17, from 3:00 - 8:00 PM at Olson Burke/Sullivan Funeral & Cremation Center, 6467 N. Northwest Hwy (one block north of Devon), Chicago IL 60631. Prayers at the funeral home Thursday, April 18, 11:00 AM, before procession to St. Juliana Catholic Church, 7201 N. Oketo Ave, Chicago IL 60631, for Funeral Mass beginning at 11:30 AM. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Police Chaplains Ministry, www.ChicagoPCM.org
